I love weeks like this week (sarcasm). I had a test on Monday, a test on Tuesday, two quizzes due on Wednesday, and I have a test on Thursday and a Test Review on Friday. This week has been a little overwhelming. My test on Monday was in Planet Earth which happens to be my only GenEd this semester, thank goodness. I chose not to study very much and I got a C! Yay for me! NOT! Typically I'm in the A/B range, so that means I will have to put my game face on for the next test. I have not heard how I did in Family Resource Management (the test on Tuesday), but hopefully I did better than the GenEd. On the quizzes I scored 90%, so I don't feel too bad about those. Lastly instead of studying for test #3, I'm posting on my blog.
Even though this week has been absolutely psycho with tests and everything else, I do have some great news. My Practicum application is almost done. As soon as I'm done with this post, I will finish that. Super excited!! Now I just hope that I am able to get in the program for next summer. The other good news is that I am going home this weekend. I was able to get work off and so I'm skipping out of Logan sometime Thursday after my test. I will gratefully skip all classes on Friday so that I can go home and ride my horse, Spanky. What can I say? I love that I get the chance to do that! Over the weekend, I will spend time with my folks and my little sister as we watch general conference!! I love general conference and I'm so very excited for it this year. I have a lot of questions and I can't wait for the answers!!! Like I said, this week has been overwhelming!! BUT, tomorrow is a new day and there is always something that makes it wonderful. I really try to live my the saying, "Come What May and Love it." Don't get me wrong, I still have bad days, but you can only appreciate the great days when you have had an awful day to compare it too. Time to get back to the application. Wish Me Luck!

Once again, I've reached the beginning. The beginning of a new school year, the beginning of my friends coming home from their missions, the beginning of a new set of school projects, the beginning of another year of IWA, the beginning of a new set of roommates and the beginning of the real world.
Yesterday was one of the best times I've ever had at IWA. I spent time in the board meeting with amazing women. My adviser, Sister Mendenhall and my president Amanda Johnson along with many other women are some of the most amazing women I know. Then we went to Sister Mendenhalls home where we had a Hymn Testimony. Girls that I have known for years told of deeply personal times in their life when everything was going wrong and life was not how it should be, but then they would tell of the blessings and the lessons that they had learned from it. I couldn't help but be amazed by these women that are so strong. After listening to them, I realized what my hymn testimony would be. I chose hymn #256. I wrote next to the hymn that we are all amazing! God loves us and he wants us to be happy. We are the Youth of Zion and we will stand with valiant heart.
What a wonderful night of testimonies! It truly made mine stronger.
