I love the holidays! I especially loved this Thanksgiving. It was pretty simple for me this year, I went to my grandparents. Had an amazing dinner with my parents, sister, Uncle and his three kids and two grandkids, and my grandparents. After Thanksgiving dinner, we bowled on my Grandpa's Wii. (Yes, my Grandpa is pretty much the coolest!)  It was so much fun!! In between my turn and taking a break, I got to hold my little cousin. He was born two weeks ago and he is so cute! So tiny! I forget how small newborns are, but I loved every second of holding on to the little guy! I loved Thanksgiving! It was so good!

Black Friday was not spent shopping in my family. We went to the river bottoms on the Deseret Allotment and rounded up wild cattle. Yep, we are all sorts of adventurous! It really was so much fun! I got to ride my horse. Dad has been graining him and he had a ton of energy which was really good because he needed it. One of the guys that rode with us used a GPS to track us, he went 15 miles, I went further than he did. I'm guessing but I think I went between 15-18 miles on my horse that day.

I loved the break and this is what I'm grateful for:  good food, time spent with my parents and little sister; being able to play the piano again; holding my little cousin, Ryker; talking with my grandparents; playing with the puppies; sore muscles; a good cow-eating horse; laughing with my sister; breakfast with all of my family; sleeping in; amazing sunsets; watching my town get ready for Christmas and everyone being so happy about it; safe driving; working hard; eating ice cream; feeling loved and knowing that life is good! The last thing that I'm so grateful for is the gospel. It has made me who I am, It has helped me through the good times and the really bad times and it is only through my Savior that I will be able to be with my family forever. I'm so grateful and so blessed!

I'm so grateful for this time of year. I know we should be thankful all of the time, but I love that we have one month dedicated to saying Thanks. I love that is almost time for Thanksgiving, too!

I'm so grateful for the beautiful campus that I go to school at.  I love USU. It has beautiful buildings and green areas. I meet so many people, but because the campus is relatively small, I see them all over the place.

I'm grateful for such an amazing ward and the friends that I'm making there. I have some amazing friends that have saved my bacon on more than one occasion. They are so good to me and take such good care of me.

I'm especially grateful that I can go running. A couple of years ago I had a near-death experience that almost took my right leg along with my life. I'm so grateful that I still have a leg. That I can run and dance and ride horses and play the piano and walk up the hill! What a blessing! Like I said.... I'm so grateful!

I love my AGGIES!! I'm so proud of my Aggies!! I love USU and the school spirit that is at this school! The USU vs. BYU game was super intense. BYU played a great game, but my Aggies came out ahead and beat the socks off of them! 69-62. I think I made the best decision ever to come to USU! I love that we have tons of school spirit! I love that we have some of the top rated programs in the country! I love USU! Best choice Ever!

I love to run! However, it has only been in the last four weeks that I started running again. I ran in high school on my Cross Country team my senior year. I was not a runner then.... My happiest races were when I didn't come in last. (Pathetic... Right? ) Last night I was able to run 3 miles without stopping. No walking, no breaks, just straight through!! This is such an accomplishment for me!! Even when I was racing, I had to walk and stop. Can I tell you how good it feels to run! My body is feeling so much better than it did even a week ago.  I love that the body releases endorphins which make me so happy. I have almost decided that the only way I'm going to handle the next three semesters is to keep running. Life works itself out and I stop worrying so much when I run.  Last night was one of those nights when it hurt to run, the first mile was a killer, but I just kept pushing through and by the third mile I was in the runner's high! I love that feeling. I love knowing that I did it! Did I mention that I have a year left before I graduate? If everything works out the way I want it to then I should graduate Fall 2012. I can't wait. It is so nice to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have a couple of hard semesters planned. Next semester will have another 16 credits, summer will have between 6-10, and fall will probably be another 16, but I will graduate!!! I can't wait! Do I have any idea what I am going to do when I graduate? No, not at all! I just want to focus on one thing at a time!

"Once upon a Time"

IWA Dance! I love big productions like Institute Dances! I spent about 10 hours decorating and then it was destroyed in an hour and a half.  One of the things that I did the most work on was the castle. ( Our Theme was "Once upon a Time", We had a castle scene, a Rapunzel scene and an Enchanted Forest)

This Castle was made of Tin-foil. The Turret was up there about 10-15 feet and I about had a panic attack while I was on the ladder trying to stick it to the wall. Not that I was afraid of heights, just nervous! ha ha
I also was in charge of making the hulu hoop holding the drop ceiling look pretty!
My date and Me at the dinner before the Dance.
Pretty huh? Anyway so the dance! I am on the committee for the dance and as a group we decided that we needed to have someone teach dance lessons. Well, I happened to be the only one who knew anyone that could dance so I asked my dance teacher to teach dance lessons and be my date. (He is a student at USU too!)  This is him. The funny thing was that we had a completely not typical date, but I loved every second of it and I had an awesome time with him. He was such a gentleman, he even helped me take down the decorations. It made my life so much easier! I had so much fun! The Dance was definitely a success! Everyone loved it! The funny thing was that after my roommates and I got home from the dance we ended up talking from 12:30 until 2:00 in the morning. I was so tired by the next day that it wasn't even funny! I'm so grateful for my roommates and for the dance on the weekend. That is the funnest dance I have ever been too. Cheesy, Right? But I loved it! One of the best things about the dance was the chance that I got to spend with the girls from IWA. They are so cute! I love them so much!
This is all of us from my chapter! A few of our girls were unable to go, but the ones that did had a lot of fun!
I have to add one more picture before I finish this post! Of course we had to have a funny picture! I love these people so much!

Daily Thanks

This is month of Thanksgiving and although I try to be grateful every day I felt like I should write down a couple of things that I'm thankful for....

Yesterday was my Grandpa Abbott's 86th birthday. Can I tell you how grateful I am that I still have him around to just be there for me. I love my Grandpa so much. He has always been there for me and he is one of those people that you love to spend time with!

I'm also grateful that the IWA dance is this weekend.{ (Hopefully the dance will go off without a hitch!!) I'm on the committee for the dance and stress has become my best friend lately.} I am so grateful that I was able to find a date that said Yes! He is such a sweetheart and I'm looking forward to the dance! It is going to be so much fun!!!!

The last thing that I'm grateful for is IWA. I have met amazing women in IWA. They are so good, so pure, so clean. I love them to death. I love the things that I have learned from them. I'm so sad that IWA is ending in December, but it will be okay because the friendships that I have with the women in IWA will last forever! I'm so grateful that I've had a chance to meet them and to grow from their testimonies.
