I have been so humbled lately. I was emailing my brother, complaining about my life.  I love my little bro, he is one of the few people that never judges me, never tries to one-up me and he is always there for me. However, Chad is one of those people that will tell you exactly what he thinks and he will definitely tell you if you are being a complete idiot. But he does it in such a way that it is really hard to feel offended. And that is why I was humbled today. I have been working on trying to make myself a better person and it has had its share of ups and downs and I told Chad that I felt like I had no faith left and that I was tired of the whole situation. He wrote back to me and told me in no uncertain terms that I did/do have faith and then he told me to "get excited and stay positive." All I can say is that I am so grateful that he is in my life. He may be 14 months younger, but I really do look up to him (in more ways than one according to him.  He is pretty close to 6' tall and I'm about 5'2". )

This is my favorite picture of Chad. His personality comes through loud and clear.
In the April 2011 General Conference, Russel M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve said, "The Lord so declared: “I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.”6 What a promise! When we are faithful, He and His angels will help us." (If you want to read the rest of the talk, go here.) Sometimes I think that our angels are not necessarily those on the other side, but also those that are rooting for us on this side. I can honestly say that Chad is one of my angels. He has truly helped me remember the things that I should've already known. There are so many other angels in my life including my parents and friends. I'm truly very blessed and very humbled right now. I'm very grateful that Chad was willing to tell me what needed to be said.
