Dear Boys.....

I have a blog that I follow that does a Dear Boy post quite frequently(Elise's Pieces). I feel in love with it and decided to do a Dear boys post today.

Dear Tall, Dark and Gorgeous,
I never thought you would say yes. Guys like you don't go out with girls like me right? Anyway it happened to be my best date ever! I had an amazing time and I felt something that I  had never felt before, so I got scared and turned tail and ran. Sorry and I wish you the best.
Some Regrets

Dear Blue Eyes,
Hmmm, Wow! You have the most gorgeous eyes ever! Too bad you aren't going to be here over the summer.

Dear Weight lifter who smiled while I was running,
Thanks for the ego boost. It was appreciated!
The slightly-more-confident-runner

Dear Listener,
How in the world did you get me talking? I listen, everyone else talks. How did you do it? But, Thanks I needed to talk.
The Surprised

Dear Summer,
Maybe we could have a fling? Just thinking.

Dear friend from home,
Why are you so difficult to talk to? We even have home in common and I can't figure out what to say to you.
At a loss

Dear Friend,
Wow, It was so awesome to see you get excited about asking a girl out. Really impressed me. Waiting for the day when someone is excited to ask me out.

Typical Monday

Monday was crazy.  It all started at 7 am. I got up and just knew that I didn't want that day to happen.
9:30 Consumer Policy
10:30 Advanced Family Finance
11:30 Institute
12:30 Financial Counseling class
1:30 Very Dry lecture by James Bullard
2:30-4 Housing Regulations
4:30-6:30 Group project for Research Methods
6:30-8:00 Home Evening Closing Social for the Ward
Break until 11:30 Roommate breaks up with boyfriend
12:00 am to 12:20 Attempting to Register for last semester ever!

Crazy! Add a couple of break downs, a couple of barely there meals and the 4 mile run that I was supposed to, but didn't fit into my schedule and you have my psycho never ending day. The crazy thing is I know everyone is busy, but it just drives me nuts when I do something all day long and it still doesn't feel like I got anything done. To finish this semester, I have 1 portfolio's, a couple of papers, 4 finals, and 3 presentations. I just want to be done. One day at a time is my motto right now! Can't wait for summer and an even busier schedule! (And yes I'm posting about my busy day because I thought it was pretty incredible that I made it through without going completely and totally insane.)

Easter is a special event for me and my family. Every year, we pack the camper, saddle the horses and go camping on a mountain called Joy. At Joy, there is not much to see, it is actually kind of barren, but it is a tradition that I love. To celebrate we always eat deviled eggs, cinnamon rolls and play tons of speed Uno. However, this year, I wasn't able to go home and so I stayed in Logan and passed the weekend by quietly. I was able to spend sometime with my Aunt and her family on Sunday and I also sang in a choir that morning. My roommate and I were the only ones home and we felt that we couldn't do Easter justice without listening to Jeffery R. Holland's talk titled "None Were With Him." I love that talk and because I couldn't get it to imbed on this post, it is on the other one. By the way, if you ever feel alone or discouraged this is a great talk to help you remember that you are never alone.

Wednesday night was the first time in at least four years that I have played volleyball.  When I was in middle school, it was the sport that I loved, that I lived for. I played rec volleyball the entire time I was in middle school. Miracle of all miracles, I made it on to my freshman volleyball team. Since I am 5'2" I played Libero and I was good at it. I never played the front row even though I had a pretty good spike and a pretty good set.  I loved being a libero and I got to the point where I was fearless. I went for digs that should have been impossible, but weren't. Anyway, through a conflict of interest my coaches and I went after it and we got into an argument. I lost my desire to play and was completely burned out on the game. The rest of high school, I played maybe one or two games and since I have been to college, I don't think I have played any.

A couple of nights ago, my roommate invited me to play a pick-up game of volleyball. The rest of the group was pretty much amazing and I was unfortunately not. My serves were awful, spikes non-existent, sets passable and digs were okay. It amazes me how fast you lose something you were once good at. I did have a couple of nice digs, if I do say so myself. We ended up playing for two hours and all I can say is even though I did a horrible job and I was extremely rusty, I still love the game.  I love being involved in a good volley, or pancaking and getting my fingers just under the ball. I love it and I have missed it a lot. I'm hoping that I can get back into it, because it was so much fun!

The Gym

It's scary and intimidating with its rows of machines and slightly fierce looking people, but then sometimes it is really fun.  Yesterday, I hadn't had time to go to the gym in the morning so I went after my classes around 5 o'clock. I went to the 2nd floor of the Fieldhouse and took a look around.  Usually I go to the gym in the morning, so the crowd is always smaller and has a different feel to it.  Last night the gym was packed. There were the body builders, the i'm-here-to-see-if-i-can-find-someone girls, the leave-me-alone-I-really-want-to-work-out-and-you're-bothering-me folks, the i-look-good-and-i-know-it few and the i-love-working-out-and-am-thoroughly-enjoying-watching-you-work-out people which is what I consider myself.

I really do love to work out. I love the feeling of coming off a good run and knowing that my body is a little bit stronger than yesterday. To top it off, I love people watching. My favorite spot in the gym is on the treadmills overlooking the track and basketball courts. I love to watch basketball. Can I play it? Don't even ask..... it is pretty pathetic when I try, but I love to watch it. I watched a skins/shirts basketball game and pretty much enjoyed it, a lot. One of my friends was actually playing in the scrimmage so it was fun to watch the passion he had for the game.

On a side note, I officially started training this week for the Half-marathon.  So far, (since I have been training for a grand total of 2 days) I really like it. Only 101 days left to train for the half!
